I have recently installed the fileshare module, version 5.x-1.0, and am relatively sure it is up to date. However, it does not seem to be working.

When I try to create a new fileshare and tick the box allowing me to upload and download files, the confirmation message says that it has successfully created the fileshare as well as the previews and fileshare directories. Unfortunately, the following error messages show up just below that:

  • user warning: Table 'csp4_csp4_corp_campaigngear_net.node_fileshare' doesn't exist query: INSERT INTO node_fileshare (vid, nid, _filepath, _basepath, _whitelist, _method, _modify, _thumbs, _private) VALUES (111, 61, '/Another_Test_Fileshare61', 'files/csp4.corp.campaigngear.net', 'jpg jpeg gif png txt html htm doc xls pdf ppt pps ai psd', '1', '1', '0', '0') in /var/www/csp4/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.
  • user warning: Table 'csp4_csp4_corp_campaigngear_net.node_fileshare' doesn't exist query: SELECT _filepath, _basepath, _whitelist, _method, _modify, _thumbs, _private FROM node_fileshare WHERE vid = 111 in /var/www/csp4/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

Based on some of the other support requests I've seen, I think it might have something to do with the fileshare.install file, but I could easily be mistaken.

Also, and perhaps most importantly, there is nowhere on the fileshare node for me to upload or download files, which renders it fairly useless.
