I had a look at the CivicSpace sponsored survey.module. It has some nice features which I request be considered for incorporation.

  1. It contains a report function, not dissimilar but more evolved than the one for webform currently in cvs. Also, this report is accessible through a 'Responses' tab on the same form thus reducing the menu footprint requirement. In Webform there is a seperate menu entry 'webform' that appears.
  2. The Responses function contains an export to Excel that is handy.

Some negative features I would not like to see incorporated are:

  1. It uses a redirect page instead of a embedded confirmation message. I prefer the embedded confirmation message,
  2. The field types and sizes are less flexible,
  3. There is no label, or formatting field type,
  4. Data grouping as with groups of check boxes is not available,
  5. There is no facility for a non-response.
  6. There is no facility for a default response (that is not that I found easily)

Could this issue be closed in favor for the other issues opened that covers all topics in this issue ??
(ok .. the least understandable sentence today I guess).

Agreed, #1 is part done and discussed elsewhere, #2 is done and the negative features probably are best discussed if specifically requested.
