rimuhosting.com
Hi, I use rimhosting vps and dedicated servers, http://rimuhosting.com/order/startorder1.jsp?type=18 for several big drupal sites.
These guys are great. They go out of their way to help solve the most challenging problems.

I would not suggest
I would not suggest Dreamhost I have them currently and they SUCK.......
I have been looking into moving all my sites to site5 they have a deal that is good for two years of
hosting for like 120.00..
The only bad thing is that you have to pay up front. but it is good for the next two years and I have
heard good things about them.
Also if for what ever reason you can cancel within 90days for a refund... so I'm thinking I may jump on
I'm really interested in moving the sooner the better I know I'm loosing visitors due to slow site performance....

I like Dreamhost
I'd have to disagree with you there; I have been using Dreamhost for close to a year now and found them absolutely fantastic. Perhaps I have different requirements than you.
When I was looking for a new host, my main criteria were a willingness to apply software updates regularly and quickly, shell access and a huge amount of diskspace. All of these have been fulfilled. As far as support goes, I've never had to wait more than one day to get an answer.
The one disadvantage I do note is that they don't allow wildcard DNS records (so you can't have all subdomains of *.mysite.com to mysite.com), but on the other hand my old host had this; and whenever I added a new domain I had to wait a few days for the DNS cache to expire before I could even see the new site. Oh, and they occasionally go down, but I appreciate almost always knowing why and how long.

But I in turn have my own tale of horror to add about another host. HostGator once literally wiped the account and all data (without warning and without backup) of a friend of mine when his credit card agency rejected their unannounced recharge. Not a word of apology after they reinstated the account either.
What web sites do you have
What web sites do you have hosted with them, I have a couple of Drupl installs and a couple of regular simple html sites.
The main problem that I have with them is that the site is down a couple of times a week and this is when I check, who knows actual
down time. A second problem is that the performance of the host is slow I have not seen a whole lot of fast running druple sites.
If you have some show me ......

Several Drupal sites
I don't want to link-spam; a catalogue of the sites I have hosted is at this address:
http://ermarian.net/sites
All in all, five public Drupal sites (and several more testing sites), one MediaWiki and a lot of sites with just static pages that I'm hosting for a couple of friends. The only one that has been exceptionally slow for me is the forum archive, but that one uses a ton of self-written code and database requests which I haven't yet bothered to streamline.
Incidentally, all of the Drupal sites run on a single code base. I'm using FastCGI, perhaps that is what makes the difference.
Once a week is pretty often indeed. I haven't experienced more than one unscheduled downtime (which wasn't on dreamhoststatus.com beforehand) once or twice a month; maybe I'm just lucky.
they are loading pretty
they are loading pretty quickly and I have another account on dreamhost that uses a different sql server.
So I hosted new site, new install and it works like magic .. I guess dreamhost does not suck after all lol.....
My bad for getting all heated in my previous posts if you want check it out my new site let me know what you think...

yes, avoid dreamhost
I left dreamhost as well, the performance was miserable. I've had much better luck with AN Hosting, check out my review.
Almost 6 months and counting, the server hasn't crashed once. Here's the current uptime:
me@anhosting [~]# uptime
16:36:47 up 177 days, 2:22, 1 user, load average: 1.68, 1.94, 2.16
That's what I like to see :)

Please stop this thread now
There is a huge thread full of recommendations: http://drupal.org/node/110531
We don't need any more like it.
NancyDru
erm.
Nancy. this is the hosting companies forum - almost every thread is about hosting companies. If you call a stop to this thread, you may as well call a stop to the whole forum.
btw. I think it's best to point people to the handbook Drupal Handbooks » About Drupal » Support and professional services » Hosting and services. That's updated regularly with known Drupal-friendly hosts or hosts associated with regular contributers.

Perhaps some people may WANT a new thread
Maybe they want FRESH perspectives and don't want to sift thru the hundreds of posts on one that was started months ago.
So, back to what this user asked for....
Personally I like Site5. I have 4 sites running currently, been with them for about a year and a half and have had NO issues with downtime or anything. They offer some great packages, check them out!
finally
Dear All
I finally moved from siteground to hostgator
hostgator wins because of faster load of my homepage (i made a test timed)
they offer better support unlike the siteground which offers only 7 tickets per year
also better cpanel
and my mail worked (when people register on my site , this function did not work before in siteground)
i do recommend hostgator, but wait after the 30 days back gurantee finishes and see their support response
but until now they are great.
the problem of the comments and reviews found here and elsewhere sometimes they are biased by hosting companies owners.
but believe me i am not.
