Adding UC Price Visibility to an existing site requires resave of all products?

I installed 7.x-1.0 dev version on an existing UC3 site. All seems good, but when I save the settings, all of my roles see the alternative message, not just the roles I checked in setup. If I edit a product manually and save it, I works correctly. If I use VBO to bulk save, it does not work.

Am I missing something? This store has almost 2500 products. I can't manually resave every one :)
