We have built Chicken Stone off of a brand new Drupal 5 version. I had some experience with Drupal before starting this project so this site was rather easy to build, took me about 3 weeks...

I really like the profile feature 'Music I Listen To' and that its bands link to a page where users who like said band are grouped. Care to explain how you achieved this?

It was rather easy... I just created a Multiple List Text Field, then I added the code in the user-profile.tpl.php to make it searchable. I don,t remember which page on drupal.org but I found it here.

You didn't use any modules for this functionality though? Looks like you used profileplus (http://drupal.org/node/55469), as I haven't had any luck locating the thread you mentioned you found.

My bad, looks like this is part of the core profile module. If you create a freeform field, there's an option about making the entries searchable/sortable.
I guess the multiline text field was what threw me off.
nice use of photos
Good color scheme, it's basic, but it works. The front page does a good job of pushing your content. The only thing I would change is the animated logo with sound, it's kind of annoying that it auto-plays every time you hit the main page. The tiled text background is also a bit distracting, maybe try it with light gray text instead, to help separate it from the real text.
