I would like to ask if it is possible to create a payment form during user registration.SHould the module be rewritten so as to inlcude entities?Thanks

In Drupal 7, the pay_node module is likely to be deprecated, and you'll have the ability to add payment fields instead. This will allow you to add payment fields to user registration forms, comment forms, etc. It's good stuff!

This request will beget the question of recurring support, so I'd like to see a lot more dialog on how best to handle that there.
