I currently see "too many" (seemingly significant) bugs on version 1.5, and none on 1.4, but some on 1.2, etc. Is 1.4 the safest and least buggy version at the moment, or do most of the 1.5 issues also apply to 1.4? Looking at the reported bugs, I become doubtful whether 1.5 is safe for "production". Can someone comment on this, please?

The bugs in question are primarily logged against the now-defunct 'Voting Actions' feature, and the older style of Views integration that has been repalced in version 2.x of VotingAPI. The latest build for Drupal 5, or 6, should be reliable though Views integration is and will remain spotty in Drupal 5.
