Hi all,

I'm setting up a couple of groups on my Drupal 5.1 site, and would like to achieve the following :

Groups 1 -
These groups are of brands. Let's say I have groups named "BMW", "VW", "Porsche" etc, instead of showing the subscribed users as "subscribers", I would like them to show up as "fan of BMW" or "owner of VW" or "ex-owner of Porsche". They all have the same permission level (can leave comments, not post stuff). Only the admins can edit and post stuff to these groups.

Groups 2 -
These groups are of different racing teams. There are 2 different kinds of subscribers (with different permissions) within the same group. So within the group "BMW Racing Team", "fans" can leave comments (like everyone else) and "team members" can post stuff to the group.

Additionally, on a user's profile page, it shows that this user is "a fan of BMW", "an owner of VW" and "a team member of the BMW Racing Team" etc, with clickable links to the respective groups.

If you're interested, please :

1. Reply to this thread and give me a list of Drupal projects that you've worked on.

2. Use the contact tab on my profile page to send me your rates and estimates.

Thanks !
Shirley

1. Do you want the alternate title to be group-wide? That is, you create a group called 'BMW' and have the option to call its members 'Owners' rather than subscribers. Of did you want group members to set or select their own titles individually [Owner | Ex-owner | Fan of ]?

2. And presumably the group admins moderate subscription requests for team members?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the message.

1. For the brand groups, (e.g. "BMW"), there are owner, ex-owner, fan etc which a user can choose from. No moderation required.

2. For the racing team groups, the admins will moderate subscription requests ONLY when a user choose to become a team member. If the user wants to become a fan, no moderation is required.

Thanks !
Shirley
