hi..i am running 5.1 on siteground..

i get this error

I dont know what to do....and each time the dbase size changes..in just a few mins...i mean the backed up dbase size...

Try turning off "capture errors".

Oh BTW, the backed up database size is going to change. For every page load, information is being written to the database. If there are more rows in the database, it is quite natural for the size of the database dump to change.

usually the problem is not that the size is increasing..its reducing at times...and in just 5 mins..there is a change..no new content added..no new users..this is what is surprising..

also when i use phpmyadmin at times..due to slow connection etc..the downloaded mysql file sometimes is of 1.3 MB sometimes 4.5 MB...its really frustrating..how can anyone know..if things are fine :(

i hope u will be able to help me out...this problem worries me no end

the only way i get some reassurance is that everytime i restore on a new database..and check the number of tables...if they match then i know..things may be alright..

also oftlate..i am getting an error with bigdump.php when i use it...it shows a date error. dunno if all this is connected ?

pls help...also dbase looks awkward each time..

let me give u an example.

Backup from Jun 18th, 2007 01:07:06 3377012 bytes
Backup from Jun 18th, 2007 01:08:12 3978778 bytes

this is the same backup file..each time..i am getting two sizes...pls note the i made the dbase backup in 1 min difference..and no data was changed..still such difference in the dbase sizes.

somehow..things are better..i think the issue was with the inline module..some error was happening..
wonder why...maybe u cld check...just thought its good to let u know..

do let me know if such incompatibility doesnt exist anymore..then i can use both :)

the other problem..is that on unzipping the file...the dbase file does not show..doesnt get unzipped i think..dunno why this happens.
:(

cld be due to the php taking long..and not happening..so lets see..due u have any solution for this.

I am backing up to Drupal's root directory.

Neither the "capture errors" or "parent directory" boxes are checked.

I tried checking the "parent directory" box, but it didn't matter. I tried backing up to a folder in the root directory, but it didn't matter.

The .gz file contains my 146-MB .sql file compressed to about 7MB, but that's it. No other files. The db file is most important, but I'd like the other files backed up as well.

Any ideas? I'm not sure what other info to provide..

I'm also having the same problem, no files backed-up, only the DB. Same errors and same settings as described above.

I have this issue in a Drupal 5.5 installation and 5.x-3.0 version of the module. I'v read in some other thread that things got worse when someone tried with 5.x-4.x-dev so I'm just passing on that.

This module is working fine in some other sites I've built but as I am in the process of updating all of my installations and modules I know there'll be the same problem like the one I've described.

When you have nearly a dozen Drupal sites to manage, a module like this becomes a handy solution so I will appreciate so much if these issues would be fixed soon.
