I'm building an Egyptian site, and thus need it to work in Firefox 3.6.

The problem is described in depth at StackOverflow.

I've supplied a patch that fixes this issue for me and possibly for everybody else.

just seen that it fixes only with poort themer's helper disabled (which should suffice for live sites).
for PTH, we'd need to count the double dashes and add another two if the number is odd (or even? - will look into that later if not too lazy)
