Hi
We installed 5.0 UIE forum and created the forums containers etc within a test environment.
Having ported it across to the live environment the containers and forums are available in the root directory (you can see them when you create a forum submission as a forum choice) but most are not available on the forum page itself.
Any ideas? Also, both forum and UIE forum are enabled (could that be why?) - the challenge is if I un-enable forums then it UIE forums do not appear as a create content type or within the content type. This is porbably a really simple one - suggestions please....
Thanks a lot folks!
Andrew

AdvisorGarage commentedI have been digging around - this is what's happening:
When UIE Forum is installed all created containers become invisible after creation - they appear within the original 'Forum' module which you can only see when you unenable UIE Forum
When you create a forum and attempt to attach them to the recently created containers, they are not in the forum root directory
When you attempt to 'create Content' > forum on either the main nav or the group nav it opens a traditional forum creation page and then has those invisible containers above but none of the forums you've created within UIE
So when you attempt to create content / forum it does not allow you to do so as all that are available are the containers (as you couldn't attach the forums to the containers above)
Create a new thread within UIE works just fine.
Somehow the UIE Forum module needs connect to the create content / forum so when you create content it works off of the UIE Forum and not the traditional forum.
Any suggestions? We need to go live today/tomorrow and this is the lasst glitch!
Thanks

daniel.hunt commentedIt took me a while to figure out exactly what you meant, but I think you're getting confused now.
As I've just touched on in my reply to your PM to me, UIEForum doesn't link up to the core forum to read its containers, forums or posts. There is no way to import these at the moment, nor is there a way export FROM uieforum TO the core forum.
If you intend to use UIEForum for your live site, you will need to disable (and preferably, remove) the core forum, and setup the UIEForum as you would like it to behave.
I hope I have helped you here, and by reply to your email/pm.
Good luck with your launch
Daniel
