The recommended Drupal 7 release is from May 2011. There honestly aren't that many differences between head and 1.0, however there are some *key* bug fixes that resolve integration issues with i18n_string, which is a really *swell* integration for translating blocks and boxes and other things, and is extremely useful, once you figure out that its broken in 1.0, but works great in 1.x-dev.

Essentially, this all comes down to the fact that, at this point, dev is more stable than the stable recommended release, and so, I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a new fresh bug-fix release (7.x-1.1) cut off to resolve these issues.
