hi, I am andre schembri from indymedia malta , we currently have a virtual server,
I have a problem ; when I try to upload a video with ffmpeg enabled there is an error : 'Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: ffmpeg_movie in /var/www/drupal/modules/flashvideo/flashvideo.module on line 726' however i think that is more likely to be a problem from the permissions in the server
However when I upload a video with ffmpeg disabled , and in .flv format there is also a problem (https://imcmalta.org/drupal/?q=node/12) , there is written just sorry ! ,flvplayer.swf is in /files , flashvideo_playlist.php is in the root (i copied this from the module file and I don't from where i need to copy this)
the settings are set as follows (in the module page) :
'Flash Player Name: flvplay.swf'
thanks in advance

travist commentedTry disabling FFMPEG-PHP in the FlashVideo Settings... that will get rid of your error.
As for your other problem, can you give me a link to your site so that I can look at what you are talking about?
Thanks,
Travis.

il-p2p commentedok clean urls does only work on https (we are using apache 2 )
however ... in https now there is Video Not Availble (not just 'sorry...') :) ... which means something has changed :) ..

travist commentedWhat has changed is that your path to the image now does not have the ?q= in the path since the Clean URL's has been disabled. I have just commited a change to CVS that fixes this problem regardless of Clean URL's or not... I might have some time this weekend to work on this module some more to fix the problems that people have been having with the Clean URL's turned off. I have also just been notified that the Player.swf is not correct with the file system set to private. So, obviously, I have a lot of work to do.
Before my next release, I will need EVERYONE to test the BETA version with their configurations (Clean URL's enabled / disabled, File System private / public) and such. I will do my own testing, but it is really hard to test everyones configuration.
Thanks for your patience in this matter. It will get fixed very soon.
Thanks,
Travis.

il-p2p commentedhi,
I reinstalled drupal, and obviously I downloaded your module from cvs and it's seems that the problem with clean/nonclean urls is resolved ... :)
now site is at http://imcmalta.org/indymedia
however I noticed two things
The First thing is that our server is running MySQL database 4.0.24_Debian (i noticed that I need to upgrade this to atleast 4.1 when I was trying to install drupal from the cvs, however there is written somewhere that this is the last drupal that will support mysql 4.0 and on status page there doesnt seem to be any problem ) However I think that the database is shared with all the server users so I have to ask my server admin before trying to update my dbserver ...
The second thing that I noticed was that thumbnails are produced :) ... And I am using .fla so I must think that it must have to do with the player or something similar ;) ...
When I set the player location do I had to add /files/ before or something ?!
thanks alot

travist commentedThat is good news! I checked in what I thought would fix it about a day ago, so aparently if anybody is having this issue, just check out the latest from CVS.
As for your question about adding files before the player.swf. You should not have to do this... this is relative to the Output directory.
Thanks,
Travis.

travist commentedFlashvideo version 2.2 Beta fixes this problem. Please read the details for the release to find all bug fixes. Also, I have added a VERY useful status in the main FlashVideo Settings page. Please read over this carefully to make sure that you have all the correct php.ini variables set.
Thanks for everyones help,
Travis.
