I have a website, Seventies Webdesign , which I am currently managing through a html program. I am not so happy with it, becuase it costs me a lot of time to do updates or create a new page.

Would it be better to do this site with Drupal? And if yes, how should I procede?

Thanks!

Actually, the site looks fairly simple. Yes, you could do it in Drupal. Start with a test site on your local PC/Mac and play with it to get comfortable with Drupal. Then attack it head on. Since you already know HTML, it shouldn't be that hard for you. If you don't know much about CSS yet, pick some up; Drupal is much more CSS-oriented than most HTML-based sites.

Although your site is small, and some people might recommend other CMS for small sites, I think that Drupal would be really good for you. The things you would need to do is first start to play around with drupal until you are coumfortable like the previous post said. Then you would need to create content types for your different elements like fonts and backgrounds, that way you can create content templates and its very easy to theme the output. You could also just do one content type and assign categories to it with the core taxonomy module. Then you would need to do views that had filters for published node, and also for your content type or taxonomy. Modifying themes or creating a new one, are the ways to go to get the look of your html site to Drupal. Hope it helps, but I understand taxonomies and views might be a bit intimidating, but after setting up your site with drupal updating and editing content is the easist of tasks.
