It would be great if this module could be used as a widget for filtering searches in the 'views' module.
In Views 2, one can choose either dropdown or autocomplete widgets, but the latter does not work well with hierarchical taxonomies.

That's a great suggestion! I'll see what that might entail. I just recently started dabbling in Views plugins, so will look at adding that feature soon. Kind of surprised that Views isn't picking the widget up automagically. It might wind up being a simple Views registration to get it hooked in. Fingers crossed... ;)
