As it now stands, it is excellent for tracking the visitor count and other statistics on a brand new web site. Unfortunately, if the module is added to an existing web site that has known traffic statistics, then there is no way to easily add that historical visitor count to the total.
I created a patch that implements the above functionality, and will upload the patch in a moment. I needed to create this issue to generate an issue number for the patch file name.
