When the preprocessor comes across an error in the LESS/CSS for my site, it quits ungracefully, leaving a half rendered page with no indication of what went wrong. It would be nice to see a specific error generated, preferably one that points to the file and line where the error occurred.

It is most likely that you are using an older version of the lessphp library.

The latest version properly throws an error that the LESS module should be capturing.

If you are still getting an error, re-open this issue and paste the relevant php errors from your watchdog.
