My logs are filled with the above and my site loads slow because of this.

I'm also seeing this in my logs,

All servers unreachable or returning errors. The server list was emptied.

Unfortunately, I also experienced very slow page load times when Mollom's servers are unreachable or returning errors and have since uninstalled Mollom.

I'm using Recapture now and it has really made a difference.

The error messages you mentioned only exist in the 1.x series of the Mollom module.

The 2.x series implements Mollom's new REST API, which uses a different and more common approach to server fail-over handling, which happens entirely on the backend.

Therefore, I'd highly recommend to update Mollom module to 2.x. :)
