Term view, node relationship unavailable in sort criteria

I fear that this just might not be supported. I have a term view with a node relationship, and the node relationship just does not show up in the Relationship dropdown when configuring the sort criteria for the view.

I'll just have to make another node-based view to handle my use case, but wondering if this is a bug or just unimplemented.
