The users on one of my pages suggested that links from the latest weblinks block should lead to the directory entry instead of going directly to the linked target, so that they could read the submitted description before going to the linked website.

Includes an additional radio button selection for the modules settings page to allow easy switching between the two modes.

Darn, silly upload thingy, lost the patch after the preview? Ok, here we go again...

Hi,

I won't commit as is. I am against config options, since they clutter the UI. It is considerd good design if you choose the best option, and omit those options from the config pages.

Can you not rather make weblinks output two blocks: one with weblinks to the link-target, one block with the system as you propose.

hmm, ok, that's basically no problem, even though I'm not all that happy to "clutter" the block listing in the admin settings. But OTOH, if that keeps me from patching every future release of the weblink module... ;)

I'll attach a new version of the patch once it's done. Any suggestion on how to call the blocks in the listing? (note: English is not my mother tongue, so help is appreciated)

Long delay, but still, an adapted patch to add two blocks, namely "Top weblinks (Link to Directory)" and "Latest weblinks (Link to Directory)".

Since we no linger have a dir view, your patch is a little inappropriate. Yet is could still be used.

Could you
* change the workds directory into article
* Make the block 4 and 5 always point to the full nodes (articles)?

There are plenty of views and display modules.
