I have a Drupal/PHPBB2 configuration working, but it seems very unstable at times with avatars missing every now and then and signatures not working.

UIEforum is a great option but I want to save my PHPBB2 posts by importing them form PHPBB2 into UIEforum, or from PHPBB2 to Drupal Forum then into UIEForum.

I already have imported my PHPBB2 forum posts into Drupal forum so I just need to get them into UIEforum.

Can we get a Drupal Forum to UIEforum Importer please?

Zoro thank you so much for your UIEForum it is absolutely what I need for my Drupal site. But if I wanted to code it myself I would have just made my own forum :) for that matter I would have probably written my own PHP driven CMS but I am not a programmer and there for rely on skilled people such as your self to help people like me out :)

Maybe you can shed some light on how I can code this myself? Thanks! :)

Well maybe someone else could code it ;) My issue is that I have a phpBB forum and I would like to have tight intergration to Drupal. After several hours of searching around I discovered this module and the feature list looks pretty nice.

The issue, then, would be getting the existing phpBB content into UIEforum. A two step process would not be so bad, since there already exists a script to move data from phpBB to the existing default Drupal forum. The next step would be to move data from the default Drupal foru, to UIEForum.

My question, then, is, do you know of any reason this conversion should not be possible? For example, are there any data or structural incompatibilities you are aware of?

I'm glad you find the module works well for you!

As far as I'm aware, there are no structural factors that should make the import from Drupal Forum to UIEForum technically difficult, or impossible for that matter. I don't have the time to code something like that at the moment though :(
Quite a few people have been looking for something like this for quite some time now, but there are so many other things that I would like to get done that it just keeps getting pushed back!
I've been in talks with someone that could lead to the module moving away from its own tables for storing the data, and using Drupal's node system instead, but I'm unsure how long that will take.

jimarcher: In my opiion much easier will be to migrate from phpBB directly as these two forums have many in common instead of native drupal forum. I think many things can be migrated one to one.

I'm marking this as "won't fix" - I dont have the time to write any conversion scripts, and as nearly all of the UIEForum users are from new-site-builds, it wouldn't really be needed either (in the majority of cases)
