IMCE not installed/enabled may be one reason.
Is it ONLY the FireFox that does not take it?

no i have installed and enabled the imce module.

It's the popup window which is too small (width that is) in Firefox. With [tab-key] i can reach the browse button.

So where can i hardcode the width of the popup??

Sorry, that sounds too inconclusive to me. It is supposed to works well, it does with me. Your kind of behavior has never happened with any of our installations at SpryDev. Try eliminating the cause by reverting to a standard theme and disabling any Javascripts that you might have additionally installed.

I have TinyMCE installed on a Drupal 5.1 and I can't seem to resize it. I am using Firefox to access it. Anyone figure this out?

thanks

Well - my update. Replacing my tinymce module as well as the tinymce editor (it's a two step process) fixed it all up. Works great now.

I am using FCKeditor along with the IMCE module. I use IMCE to handle the file browsing capabilities of FCKeditor. I get the same popup window you describe in firefox. I cannot see the "browse files" button in the popup window as the popup window is not wide enough. Also the window is not resizeable. How did you fix this?

It worked for me. I disabled all the add-ons/extensions including Firebug, and window size was suddenly OK.
