In the configuration settings I tried to specify a regex to exclude some mailto links, it doesn't seem to be working: it works only for external links. Is it the expected behavior?

Are regex exception applied to mailto links?

No, they're only applied to links themselves. We now have class-based inclusion/exclusion, so perhaps that would help if you'd like to exclude some e-mail links from having the mail icon next to them.

I'm going to close this issue directly after a long lack of activity.
