I have just upgraded a D6 site to D7. I have not yet installed or enabled any modules other than core.
Everything seems to be more or less ok, with the exception that node/add results in the following error message:
You have not created any content types yet. Go to the content type creation page to add a new content type.
Many others (example: http://drupal.org/node/997444) have reported this same issue, and the solution seems to be to ensure that the "Add Content" link is enabled in the Navigation menu. However, I do not have this link in ANY of my menus.
I tried to create the menu link manually, but this did not seem to help.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I assume that you have run update.php and flushed you caches. Any strange messages in Recent Log Messages or Status Report?
Good luck!

The official issue is at http://drupal.org/node/550254 . Not sure there is a specific fix if your menu item doesn't exist. I that you add a comment to note that you had a problem and to subscribe to the issue.
