howto view preview-size

Hi,
when i first time installed video_cck i had no problem getting the preview size videos into my teasers. i can't remember how i did it but i can't reproduce it. I set the preview size to something smaller than the normal size now (must be 180px by 240px) but i only can get the full view to work.
Apart from that the list view and table views don't work at all when using view module. The video_embed code doesn't get rendered in the view.
any ideas?
