Uploading audio file overwrites file of same name

In music it's common to have multiple songs of the same name, perhaps by different artists. These mp3 filenames might be named the same name. I run into this trying to upload different recordings of my own original songs. Right now, uploading a file that happens to have the same filename will just overwrite the old one even if it's different. Can this be handled more gracefully? For someone who doesn't keep track of all the filenames as they have been uploaded, it could blow away old recordings without them every knowing, especially since old nodes would all of a sudden start playing different recordings than they used to.
