Offering to maintain Resource Conflict

I see there haven't been any commits in about a year, and I've contributed patches to the Drupal 7 port thread (#976522: port of the 6.x-2.x-dev version to drupal 7) with no response.

My patches have updated the module to use EntityReference, and added Taxonomy term support. I'd like to continue to:

* remove event module cruft
* debug EntityReference integration
* Set configurable error messages
* Rules integration, so you can choose whether a conflict should throw an error on the form, fire a Rules action, or whatever.

I'm also attempting to contact the current maintainer via contact form and IRC.
