Change how scrolling the chat log during active conversation works

Hello,

Like the title indicates, it would be great if the chat could stop bouncing the scrollbar down to the bottom whenever someone speaks. It makes it impossible to read back a little, to discover what people have said earlier. I'm guessing it may be related to how it is making sure it's always located at the bottom, so we don't have to always scroll down to read the latest messages? Is it possible to have both these features?
