olafkarsten commentedI'm afraid you look at the wrong place. None of this options is from the display formatter settings. Have look at the attached Screenshot, to get an idea were you have to go.
You should use an more recent version than alpha1. And please: do not file a bug report, if you are not really sure you have found one.

heidiselzler commentedthank you for the screenshot and thanks for helping, that is where I was and the option is still not available. How should I ask for help finding out why "product bundle" is not showing up as an option for me on in that drop down list? this is still an issue

heidiselzler commentedsorry, i made a mistake with the version... I am using alpha6
'product bundle: add to cart form' is not available in Product types - manage display for my prod type
my only choices are "default, key & hidden" while the install instructions say product bundle should exist as a choice:
" Go to the administer display tab, on the product type configuration screen and set the display formatter of all the product references you want to have in a bundle to the 'product bundle: add to cart form'"
The product bundle mod is enabled and I have all permissions. Any other ideas why it would not show as an option?

spydmobile commentedHeidi, Are you trying this on a product reference field or a select field, It wont work on a select field only on a product reference field.
