Geocoding problem when entering addressess

I have gone googled as much as I can and looked through all the drupal sites but I can't find a solution to this problem.

In the node creation form, whenever I try to geocode a location by entering the address (ie Street, City, State, Country) I cannot get a value (the DB shows the lat and long as 0.0000 0.0000) and no Gmap is displayed. (see home.jpg)

However, if I manually enter the Lat and Long they are entered correctly into the DB and gmap works correctly. (see taiwan.jpg)

What am I missing???
