Site won't come back on after taking it down for maintenance

Recently I took our site down for maintenance to update it since it hadn't been updated in a while. I had left it down for roughly a week, was doing work spread out through the week since I was also backing it up, now when I put it back online I still get site offline message when I go to the site as a non administrator. Did I miss something? Thanks!
