There was an interesting article about GeoCommons (http://geocommons.com) in Business 2.0 magazine. I have checked out their website, clicked on Help and I am looking at a nice Drupal 5 page. Check it out. The company helps to create and share map mashups and geographic data.

It seems that they are using drupal on http://help.geocommons.com/ but the http://geocommons.com site itself doesn't seem to be Drupal.

Visually, it looks like drupal garland theme, but it's definitely not drupal based, just has similar design with drupal theme garland

No, http://help.geocommons.com is definitely drupal, see http://help.geocommons.com/CHANGELOG.txt, but the main site isn't drupal as you say.
