It would be nice if this could incorporate some type of admin only view for each question submitted. Where people with admin only status could view all questions and people without admin status could view only questions not marked admin only.

kopo85 commentedNot quite sure how that helps.

nancydruBy putting your adminonly stuff elsewhere, you're not further cluttering up FAQ.

stella commentedYes I agree with kopo85, the "sitenotes" module isn't the ideal solution in this instance.
kopo85: you could try the Content Access module. It allows custom view, edit and delete permissions for each content type and additionally, you can also enable per node access settings. The latter part is probably what you are looking for. However, I may need to alter the faq page listing, so the users can only see the faqs that they have permissions to see in the list.
Would you mind trying out the "Content Access" module to see if it suits your needs for the faq nodes? If it does, I'll look into implementing "content access" module support for the faq listing.

Stella

kopo85 commentedI could definitely take a look at the Content Access module. What i did for now was mod the module so that an admin tab shows up in the settings page. In this tab a list of all the faqs show up with a checkbox that the administrator of the faq can select whether or not to make it admin viewable. It works in that it doesn't show up in faq page, however users can still search for it or find it by typing in the node address.
I added a checkbox to the main faq creation page so that it could be a per page admin selection however was unable to figure out how to make whether it was checked or unchecked have any significance (I'm newer to drupals architecture).
Thanks for your help and I'll get back to you whether or not the Content Access module does the trick.

kopo85 commentedOk, tested it out, and this seems like the perfect thing to use. It would however be much nicer instead of going back after the node was created to have these permissions be viewable in the creation page. Integrating it seems like the perfect solution.
Thanks for the help and hope to see a new build soon.

stella commentedHi kopo85,
Sorry for the delay in replying. I can't modify the node creation page to add in the permissions bit. You should contact the "content access" module maintainer about this. In the meantime I look into creating a patch that will use the "content access" node permissions when generating the faq listings.
Cheers,
Stella
