Drupal.org seems to be stopping the intended "external icon" from appearing in the first paragraph on the External Links project page, instead replacing it with watchdog-error.png because external images are not allowed:

Hahah, yeah good times. Looks like drupalcode.org doesn't allow hotlinking images any more. We'll need local copies of those images, which I've uploaded here so I can link to them from the project page. :)
