It should be something related to your ftp access in your webserver, please try it after some time, else contact your service provider.

I'm not sure, I may be wrong.

But it sounds to me like Drupal doesn't have the ability to write to its /Files/ folder, probably owing to IIS thinking the perm's on that folder are different. I run .NET applications on IIS6, and it happens quite a lot.

If its your server, go the the [www-root], whatever that is, and check that the Internet Guest Account is enabled, as well as the WWW-servers admin group. Do this through Properties/Securty. I'm afraid I've temporarily forgotten what the settings for those users should be, but i think the latter needs everything but Full Control, and the Guest account needs Read, Write and Execute(?).

Then you need to recurse the permissions down across the website. Click Advanced, Untick the Inherit box, and click Copy. That applies the permission to your folder directly. Then tick the apply to child items box. You may get some warnings, which is fine. In fact, if you have the permissions below that folder wrong then you'll definitely get warnings.

Once you've finished that folder try again.

Microsoft has some good resources on its website about managing permissions.

If you don't have your own server, contact your ISP and ask them to recurse the permission on you site folders. An intelligent tech should have no trouble doing that.
