Looking at the git repo you have the following branches of interest:

  • master
  • 7.x-4.x
  • 6.x-3.x

Which of these represents Drush 6, and which Drush 5, are they both the master branch at the moment? Should we be diffing against the 5.1 tag for patches at the moment?
Also, why do you still use the master branch at all?

We are using master for drush5 and drush6 right now. When we have to break the API, then we will make a new branch for drush5 and let 6 remain on master. I know that not everyone likes this style of development, but Contrib has not settled on a pattern here AFAIK.

From what I understand, the Drush 5 branch will be created when Drush 6 development is started, which is not the case right now.
