I feel really stupid and don't know where to look for instructions on how to get a panopoly distro up and running. I am a drush user, have root access to my server and not afraid of getting my hands dirty with php, bash or whatever. Just please point me in the direction of a good how-to that applies to Panopoly.
Thanks in advance.

populist commentedThere are two ways that are supported to get Panopoly up and running:
1.) Download the Panopoly package linked from the Panopoly page on Drupal.org and follow the standard Drupal installation instructions (http://drupal.org/documentation/install). The only other thing you will need to do, as part of the installation process, is follow closely the "Steps to Enable Apps" which requires you configure some special things to get going.
2.) Signup for a Pantheon account at http://getpantheon.com and click the "one click installation" on that platform. It automatically has the code and will install quickly for you to check out. You can then (or later) move the code + database it creates to your own server for your own purposes.
