I use Views and Colorbox to create a combination image/video gallery. The images load just fine but the videos (embedded from YouTube/Vimeo) take a very long time to appear. Due to the long wait time, users think that there is an error and close the Colorbox without seeing the videos.

Is there some way to preload the videos before they're called upon by the colorbox? I saw the following statement on the Colorbox project page:

The Colorbox Plugin:
Preloads background images and can preload upcoming images in a photo group.

I was wondering if this can be applied to embedded videos somehow.

I don't think it's possible to preload videos with the Colorbox plugin. If you want to know more/make a feature request please visit the Colorbox plugin homepage at http://www.jacklmoore.com/.
