I'm unclear on how to setup an audio player. (MF does audio, right? The project page says "media," not just "video.") Ideally I'd like to have some controls and a list of songs below that, but nothing I've tried in a preset comes close.
I can get a vertical playlist, but it displays above the controls. The horizontal playlist displays below the controls, but it's, um, horizontal. And regardless of the Controller Only setting, the player always shows.
Are there settings I'm missing to control this? Or do I need to create a new template?

travist commentedAre you just wanting to see JUST the controller? If so, then I am do plan on getting this in before the 2.0 release and it would play audio. What other look are you after?

mrtoner commentedWell, the controller and the playlist -- I don't need a (I don't know what to call it) screen for video when I'm only providing audio. I thought that enabling Controller Only might do that, but no. And I want to change the position of the playlist (to put a vertical playlist below the controller) in any case.
I'm playing around with a duplicate of 'default', but I don't know what to change to get the duplicate to show properly when I select the template. I've renamed all the files to refer to "audio" instead of "default", but there are obviously some other items I need to change.

mrtoner commentedRe: the "other items": the class names all need to change from "-default" to "-audio" and all instances of "default" and 'default' (with quotes) need to be modified in the JavaScript files. That's considerably different that indicated in the current documentation and I hope it can be made easier in the release version. Why not make the class names the same from template to template and only change the wrapper class? How about dynamically updating the template name in the JavaScript?

gusaus commentedI'm trying to do a similar thing. Has anyone created any good presets for audio?
travist commentedThe latest version should be able to handle audio just fine if you select 'controller only' setting within the preset.
gusaus commentedThanks Travis! After a good bit of of trial and error I did get audio to work on an instance of Pushtape (both as a playlist and individual track). I couldn't find much (any?) documentation geared specifically towards audio. That said, possibly that can be one of the goals for the upcoming coding sprint. I'll see if we can help with that as we integrate MediaFront into Pushtape. Maybe we can even create and contribute a couple audio presets!

davidneedhamI don't see the option for 'controller only' in the preset. I've tried the latest recommended release and the latest dev. Is it still possible?
travist commentedIt is in the Controller Settings.

davidneedhamI have no where near that many options on my preset configuration screen. Would a missing library (or one put in the wrong place) allow the preset to load, but not enable all of the settings? I successfully used the minplayer, and was able to get the player to show up for the other as well - leading me to believe it was installed.
Could I be missing something else?

travist commentedIf you are using the MinPlayer then that is why you don't have many options. I would recommend using the Open Standard Media Player since that is basically the MinPlayer with a LOT of added functionality and configurations.
