Description

Hello mate,

First of all - that you ssssssssoooooooooooooo much for the wonderful tutorial. The next time you are in UK, I'll buy you a beer.

I have spent the last 3 days looking for someway to filter sear purely by taxonomies & am glad I found ur module + the link to your tutorial ... you are a god-send.

This is not at all related to your module - & you dont have to reply - want I really want is the exposed taxonomies to be in a drop down type option rather than a scroll option. The reason is space optimisation -- I will like to place this taxonomy search to be embedded in my homepage (its a job portal for disabled people) & since you are the only one who shares the understanding to have this taxonomy based search in the first place, I cant resist asking for your help.

Like I mentioned earlier, please dont bother yourself if you are busy (I'm just shamelesly trying my luck here).

Many thanks for your tutorial -- I really appreciate it for it provided me the clear step-to-step guidance that I will recommend to anyone who is a newbie to views.

ta,

vic

You are more than welcome! I am glad that you enjoyed it. It really makes me happy to hear that my efforts have been of some benefit to people out there. As for you request to making the filter a drop down menu, this should be able to be done by making the taxonomy terms not have the "multiple" hierarchy disbled for your taxonomy types. If you do a right click on the page, you should notice that the list items have a multiple="multiple" defined. This is your goal to get rid of this. This will make your filter a drop down instead of just a list.

I hope this helps.

Thanks again.

Travis.

Ok, that is so strange!!! The dropdowns worked until I updated to the latest version. I am going to mosey on over to the bug reports and see if this has been addressed.

It should work work as you described... as drop down boxes.

Thanks,

Travis.
