Hello everyone, I'm a total newbie here, so it's great to "meet" you all and I hope I'm asking this question within the correct part of the community forums.
Ok, I've just signed up to http://www.siteground.com/drupal-hosting.htm for their drupal hosting package.
I'd like to create a site that uses the digg type vote up/down module and wondered which version of drupal would be best to install taking this into account?
I apologise in advance if this has been posted before, but I searched the forums as much as I could and couldn't really find an answer.
Also, whilst on this subject, I then came across the DRupalT module, that appears to do similar things to the vote up/down module.
If anyone here can give me advice as to which is the best module and or version of Drupal to install for a digg.com type of site, then I'd be extremely grateful.
Many thanks,
Flippa

"best" is subjective. They both work quite well for a digg style site. My suggestion is to take each module for a test drive so you can determine which one is "best" for your site and your design idea.
thanks
thanks VM
Can I ask if both the modules run on Drupal 4.7 and 5.1? I seem to be getting conflicting answers from other web pages re this topic. Would be great if you could clear this up for me.
Many thanks,

vote up/down is available for both --- easily seen its project page
DrupalIT is only available for Drupal 5 --- easily seen on its project page.
If looking for a 4.7.x version of the DrupalIT module, I wouldn't expect the developer to backport it for D 4.7.x but it doesn't hurt to ask, or offer up a bounty to entice the developer to do so.
Thanks again
cheers VM.
Thanks for replying.
