I have noted the comment above, re the event module...nevertheless

the problem appears to be in the user interface of the volunteer-event:

  1. the time in the Event Volunteer Schedule (EVS) does not echo that specified in the node (it is presently saying 12am to 12am for an event from 19.15 to 21.45
  2. the checkboxes with the EVS have disappeared, (although they are still referred to by the help text)
  3. events show up in the calendar block with an incorrect number of days [I'll assume this is an event bug and post that there... after testing with plain events as opposed to volunteer events... )

it seems i was running ahead of myself... this problem was caused by downloading the 5.x.2-dev version of event

I have reverted to 5.x.1-dev (and a database backup after it messed up date and time completely) and will test further, but initially problems do not seem to be recurring.

apologies if I wasted time of anyone in considering this problem!

I have not tested this module with Event 5.2 - if there are API changes, they may be incompatible.

Also, check about module weight - this module needs to have the same or higher weight as even module in the system table.
