i am losing the (n-1) grey dots in horizontal links such as taxonomy & node_links.

The bullet (•) delimiter is controlled by the theme's template.php file.

Please make sure that :
1) you have not changed the name of the theme (changed the theme's directory name);
2) the template.php file is located in the theme's directory.
