i've loaded this a few times and still can not make any changes to the configuration that don't revert back to default immediately. I've updated all modules, permissions are correct as far as i can tell. Why can't i get this to work?

thaiboxer: after trying to set up a subtheme, I had the same problem.

I was also unable to upload a new logo - copies of the file were left in /tmp/ if that's any help diagnosing.

At a loss for how to recover, I recreated the entire site from scratch.

I think I've figured out why this can happen, something with global variables that went wrong.
This should be fixed when enabling the nitro module that makes sure the right sub theme is loaded on the theme settings form.

In Arctica 2.0 (coming soon) this bug should be fixed even when not using nitro.
