Found and cross-referenced the other Never hack core page. Perhaps they should be merged, despite the dramatic differences in style?

This does not look like a Drupal Core issue (i.e., reporting a problem with embedded API documentation). If you want to make a change to the Community Documentation pages, just make the change. That is why there is a friendly "edit this page" link (actually, several of them) on each page. Thanks.
