I have a menu link: Children & Families . When I use the quick edit to make a change, the saved version inserts & instead of &. I can only fix this by configuring the item and saving.

Fixed in latest 7.x-1.x dev branch by allowing "&" character in menu item titles by removing probably over-eager input sanitation.
