2 Then uploaded into a new directory
3 Existing 'sites' directory from 7:12 copied over into the new 7:14 directory

Please take a look at #1558548: Notice: Undefined index: default_image in image_field_prepare_view(). It's a known issue. It's a good idea to search for part of the error message text in the issue queue to see if others have experienced the same issue :)

Accepting that, I try to progress but as soon as I move off the title page i get

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webadmin@kundenserver.de and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I had this before when changing from 7:10 to 7:12 and had to copy over 100 pages, one at a time. Please don't say I have to do it again!

I too get

500 Internal Server Error

error on several pages after upgrading from 7.12 to 7.14.

When running the upgrade script I did not get a error message all seemed to be fine. Any ideas how to fix this?

@rogerweb It is likely your reply was not seen because the issue status was changed to closed. It seems unrelated to the original issue. Perhaps you missed the hidden .htaccess file when you uploaded the new files to your server? If you are still having a problem, please open a new issue with more details. The server logs would be especially helpful.

@orces Your issue does not sound at all related to the original error in this thread which was a known problem and has been resolved. Please continue to search the issue queue for a better match, and if you do not find one open a new issue. Describe your problem in monotonous detail with steps you took to upgrade and include messages from the error logs if possible.
