Front Page

Hi All,

I am just jumping into Drupal and I consider myself a newbie coder. I am learning, so please bear with me. I am an elementary technology teacher and am trying to use Drupal in the same manner of the TWiT network at twit.tv. I am NOT looking to make a site as pretty as the heavily modified TWiT site. There are some things that I would like to change around though. I have successfully used Contemplate to make changes to the individual episode pages, however when they are promoted to the front page, they look really junky. I want to include album art on the front page and wrap details around it. Unfortunately, I just don't understand how to do it. Is Contemplate the place to go? Is it the Views module? The Frontpage module? I figured I would start here because I understand the contemplate module, and move on to another module if that is what is needed.
