Just moved to drupal 5.1, but my content doesn't have the whole 'post new comment' links on the items. I've checked the comment settings on the item (set to read/write) and went into the access control and allowed non-auth and auth'ed users to post comments, etc.

I'm obviously missing something very basic, perhaps I wiped out something when putting my theme together, but looking at the garland theme, I can't tell what I may have wiped out. Can someone be so kind to point me in the right direction to answer this stupid question? Thanks!

If I switch back to the garland theme, the links appear .. not sure what I may have wiped out. Still searching, but any help is appreciated.

wiped out the $links from my node.tpl.php.
