dww mentions on the wiki page ( http://groups.drupal.org/node/4970 ), the feature: "A 'decay feature' that sets a patch back to 'code needs review' after 2 weeks as RTBC?".

One has to remember the context it was proposed. We were brainstorming on the dev list about the longish RTBC queue, when Dries, in the middle of a long email, said: "maybe we need a 'decay feature' that sets a patch back to 'code needs review' after 2 weeks as RTBC?"

This feature goes against everything people were asking from Dries in the long thread. I am convinced that Dries just wrote this out of the top of his head, without having given the idea much thoughts. I am sure that if he were to think it through, he would realize why this feature is a baaad idea.

Why bad? If you want to know, reread the whole RTBC thread in the dev July archives.

I set straight away as "won't fix". The purpose of filing this issue, is to make a placeholder for future discussion, should there be any.
